The Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) is committed to supporting Professional Development for practitioners involved in the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) across the sectors in WA.

Professional Development Workshops This program of training and learning opportunities is one of a number of strategies, supported by the Department, that will assist in maintaining a base of highly skilled VET practitioners. Activities on the PD Calendar are only available to those involved in the training sector. Cost: $55.00 (incl. GST) for a half day workshop $110.00 (incl. GST) for a full day workshop These professional development opportunities are heavily subsidised by the Department of Training and Workforce Development.

Hot Topics Hot Topics breakfasts provide short, sharp, highly focused breakfast seminars on leading edge practice in VET. These seminars are targeted at middle and senior management in VET. Training Forum The Department holds an annual Training Forum in May each year. The two day forum provides professional development for practitioners of VET including trainers, teachers, lecturers, assessors and other staff of Registered Training Organisations
