The New VET Practitioner is a State-wide TAFEWA focussed professional development project funded by the Teaching Learning and Assessment Strategic Group (TLASG) to:
• Improve and maintain a base of highly skilled practitioners in VET in WA;
• Address the issue of an aging TAFEWA workforce by supporting younger, motivated practitioners who are new to the VET sector; and
• Build capacity for the nurturing of future leaders so that they in turn become role models for younger practitioners.
The work-based projects address issues that confront new practitioners when they join the TAFEWA system.
