Who we are and what we do?
The Career Development Services Branch is part of the VET and Career Development Directorate of the Western Australian Department of Education and Training. The main goal of the Career Development Services Branch is to promote and build a career development culture across Western Australia for people of all ages. A summary of the broad range of Career Development Services available to schools can be found here.
The branch is:
The Branch funds
- innovative career development programs (see Centre for Work Experience in links below)
- career development trials
- programs that support raising the school leaving age
- Worker Assistance Program (WAP) transition programs for retrenched workers
- delivery of the Real Game Series
- the ‘finding MY place’ library program
- career development workshops and training opportunities

- the getaccess career website
- career development scholarships for further study in career development
