Finding My Place Program

“finding MY place!” is a series of workshops for secondary school students who can benefit from an alternative learning experience. The workshops are hosted by the local library and involve a wide range of alternative learning programs.

“finding MY place!” aims to retain students in education by showing them how exciting learning can be. Students are also better equipped for life outside of school through intensive career guidance.

They get a chance to explore careers in art, music, sports, fitness, make-up and apprenticeship and traineeships in many occupations.

Through motivational workshops, students are also made aware of the consequences of alcohol and drug abuse, the importance of health and well-being, and why it is better not to be on the bad side of the law!
